Gordon Academic College of Education is proud to announce that Prof. Rhonda Sofer hadl presented a lecture during the 11th International Week and 3rd ATHENA International Week, themed "Modern Pedagogies & Technologies in Higher Education," occurring from May 27-31, 2024, in Chania, Crete. This significant event will bring together over 500 participants from around the world.
Prof. Sofer's lecture, titled "Applying Soft Skills for Coordinating Major International Programs and Developing a Culture of Collaboration," is part of the international project IMPACT (Inter-Mediterranean Peace And CollaboraTion). This project unites a consortium of higher education institutions, organizations, youth associations, and technology companies from Europe, Israel, and Morocco, aiming to foster intercultural dialogue and enhance soft skills development through innovative pedagogies and technologies.
The activities associated with the IMPACT project will include the design and piloting of Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) modules, joint virtual activities and events, and the creation of toolboxes to promote intercultural dialogue and collaboration using advanced digital technology and pedagogy.
Participants in this initiative will also work on developing strategies and policies to validate COIL courses and online workshops, contributing to institutional frameworks that can be utilized by other educational institutions across Europe and beyond.
All educational activities conducted within the IMPACT framework will be accredited using the ECTS system, with certificates backed by Blockchain technology, ensuring their credibility and transferability.
