    Gordon College offers accommodation in the student dorms, subject to availability. Address: 21 Hanamal Street, Haifa.

    The student dorms offer practical shared living arrangements for international students staying in Haifa.

    Apartments of 3 or 4 rooms

    Each apartment includes a shared living room, shared kitchen, shared toilets and bathrooms.

    Fully equipped kitchen

    Refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, kettle, electric stove, plates and dishes.

    Laundry on-site

    Washing and drying machines are available: 6 NIS per use.

    Booking the dorms

    Estimated rental fees in the student dorms are 1,400–1,600 NIS per month, excluding electricity and water expenses. The exact rate depends on the apartment and is confirmed at booking.

    Every foreign student must be covered by a comprehensive private health insurance policy for the period of their stay in Israel, from an Israeli provider.

    Important, read first

    Health insurance is mandatory in order to apply for the A/2 student visa. The policy must be provided by an Israeli provider. EHIC and most foreign policies are not accepted.

    The Israeli A/2 student visa is required for incoming students. The procedures for receiving any kind of visa to Israel, including student visas, are explained on the Israeli Government's Consular Services website.

    Apply early, and locally

    Visa rules and processing times depend on your nationality and the Israeli Embassy where you apply. Always check the latest information directly on your local Embassy website.

    A/2 student visa
    Key points for the A/2 student visa
    Apply at the Israeli Embassy or Consulate that covers your area of residence.
    Bring your invitation letter from Gordon, issued after acceptance, together with your passport, photos and visa fee.
    Processing times vary. Book your appointment several weeks in advance.
    A/2 is a study visa. Paid employment is not permitted.
    Health insurance is mandatory

    Health insurance is mandatory in order to apply for a visa. Make sure your Israeli health insurance policy is in place before your Embassy appointment.

    Practical information about arriving in Haifa from Ben Gurion Airport, getting around the city and using the free Cable Car between Bat Galim and Stella Maris.


    Gordon Academic College sits on the slopes of Mount Carmel, with sweeping views of the Mediterranean.
    Arriving from Ben Gurion Airport
    From TLV to Haifa
    Train recommended

    Direct train from Ben Gurion Airport to Haifa. Get off at Hof HaCarmel station. Around 27 NIS, approximately 1 hour.

    Amal Taxis shared

    Amal Taxis depart directly from Ben Gurion Airport and bring you to your address in Haifa. Around 120 NIS, approximately 1 hour. The taxi leaves once full.

    Airport pick-up is not offered by Gordon. Please plan ahead with the train or taxi options.

    Getting around
    From the city to campus

    Train transportation to Haifa is easy from both the south and the north of Israel. The two stations closest to Gordon are Hof HaCarmel and Merkaz Hashmona. From Bat Galim station, a 15-minute walk takes you to the cable car at the beach.

    From Hof HaCarmel train station to Gordon College: every 15 minutes.

    Bus 58

    From Merkaz Hashmona train station to Gordon College: every 20 minutes.

    Bus 31

    From Bat Galim train station to the Technion area. Runs Sunday–Thursday from approximately 06:35 to 19:27.

    Haifa Cable Car

    Bat Galim to Stella Maris. Stella Maris is a 5-minute walk from campus. Free of charge for every Gordon student and staff member.
