On January 19th, 2026, Gordon Academic College of Education proudly participated in the official kickoff of the MANDELA Erasmus+ Project, marking the beginning of a significant international collaboration in higher education. The launch event brought together 40 participants from 16 institutions across six countries, all committed to advancing innovation, academic cooperation, and sustainable partnerships that address contemporary educational and societal challenges.
Funded by the Erasmus+ programme, MANDELA aims to strengthen cross-border collaboration, promote capacity building, and support higher education institutions in developing forward-looking practices. By fostering dialogue and joint action, the project seeks to generate meaningful impact that will extend well beyond its duration.
Gordon Academic College assumes a leading role in the project’s management, contributing to its strategic direction, coordination processes, and quality assurance. The College was represented at the kickoff meeting by Dr. Eli Vinokur, Dr. Avinoam Yomtovian, Dr. Mirit Sharon & Shadia Sbait, who actively participated in governance sessions, planning workshops, and the co-design of upcoming project activities.
The kickoff meeting was characterized by strong engagement, diverse perspectives, and a shared commitment to excellence, setting a solid foundation for the collaborative journey ahead.
