At the International Center of Gordon Academic College of Education, we believe that global mobility is one of the most profoundly enriching experiences a student can undertake. Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming back Katrena Khuri to Haifa after she successfully completed her semester abroad at Pädagogische Hochschule Thurgau in Switzerland.
While we consistently highlight the academic advantages of our exchange programs, the true measure of their success lies in the personal growth, resilience, and global networks our students develop. Katrena highlighted both the excellent academic organization and the comprehensive support provided by her host university.
Her feedback captures the true essence of the mobility journey, proving that the rewards far outweigh the initial challenges of planning a trip abroad.
In Our Students' Words
“It was such a meaningful experience for me, both personally and academically. I met people from many different countries and cultures, made friendships that I truly believe will last a lifetime, and experienced things that I will always remember.”
Before coming to Switzerland, I went through a very difficult and stressful visa process. Looking back now, I can honestly say that every difficulty was worth it. I am so grateful that I went through everything and made it to Switzerland, because this experience gave me much more than I expected.
I would honestly encourage every student who has the opportunity to take part in a semester abroad to do it.
