Recently, it was announced that Gordon Academic College of Education has been awarded a significant tender from the UN, UNICEF, the Norwegian government, and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Georgia. This tender invited academic institutions from around the globe to propose programs for professional guidance in the fields of early childhood education and special education within Georgia's education system.
In a historic achievement, Gordon Academic College has become the first Israeli institution to win a UN tender in the field of education. Under the leadership of Dr. Rhonda Sofer, director of the International Center, and Dr. Eli Winokur, vice president for strategy and academic development, the college will outline a comprehensive process that includes educational, academic, and research support for the Georgian government.
The initiative aims to transform both the formal and informal education systems at national and municipal levels, promoting inclusivity for children with special needs. Gordon Academic College will collaborate with Ilia State University in Tbilisi to develop an enhanced and more inclusive educational framework in Georgia.
This milestone underscores Gordon Academic College's commitment to fostering educational excellence and advancing inclusive education on a global scale. The college looks forward to a fruitful partnership that will bring about meaningful changes in Georgia's educational landscape.
