🚀 Projects Launching Soon

New initiatives scheduled to begin in the coming year will further expand our regional and international collaboration.

Interpersonal Listening and Cosmopolitan Attitudes: A Cross-Cultural Research Project

A regional researchers' meeting hosted at Gordon College in Haifa will support alignment of research tools, shared training, and the development of a common research language among the partners. The project is designed to generate joint publications, conference presentations, and future collaborative proposals under international funding frameworks, serving as both a research initiative and a platform for sustained academic cooperation and capacity building across the region.

🌍 International Engagement & Academic Connections

International collaboration does not always require large budgets or long distance travel. It's about connecting people with shared interests and a commitment to learn from one another.

Six Months of Collaboration, One Shared Learning Experience

In December 2025, a six-month partnership between Gordon College, the University of Passau (Germany), and the University of Szczecin (Poland) culminated in a joint online session. Using real-time multilingual captioning, students explored AI in education, its potential, and ethical challenges.

Dr. Ariella Levenberg noted: "This partnership allowed students to learn not only about innovation in education, but with one another. Seeing them engage across languages and cultures is exactly what international education should look like."

⭐ Success Stories

These stories highlight how international education can foster resilience, dialogue, and hope in complex times.

Choosing Connection in Uncertain Times: The Hebrew Summer Course

In July-August 2025, the Hebrew Summer Course became a powerful story of resilience and trust. Just one month before the program was due to begin, regional escalation raised real doubts about whether it could take place at all. Yet, following the ceasefire and when the situation stabilized, every registered student chose to come. “We knew it might be complicated, but we felt this experience was too important to give up,” one participant shared.

With very short notice, the International Center rebuilt the program from the ground up. The result was an inspiring eight week journey for 16 students from three countries, who experienced Israeli culture through intensive Hebrew study, shared learning, and everyday encounters. “We didn’t just learn Hebrew,” another student reflected, “we learned how connection can overcome fear.”

Education as a Bridge in Challenging Times: The Peacebuilding Lab

At a time of profound challenges in the Middle East, the selection of the Peacebuilding Lab project stands as a powerful success story and a testament to the role of education in fostering dialogue and hope. The project brings together youth organizations from Italy and Cyprus to work with Israeli, Jordanian, Lebanese, and Palestinian youth in a three year collaborative initiative that uses sport and experiential learning to promote intercultural understanding, empathy, and peaceful coexistence among young people from conflict affected regions.

Gordon Academic College of Education is proud and deeply committed to being part of this international consortium. The project reflects our belief that education can serve as a bridge across divides creating safe spaces for encounter, learning, and trust, even in the most complex contexts. The Peacebuilding Lab affirms that meaningful collaboration is not only possible, but essential, when it is grounded in shared human values and educational purpose.
